Find adventure on the open road with Microsoft Streets & Trips. With America's #1 travel and map software, explore new places, generate maps and directions and even add your own contacts - all without an Internet connection.
Updated from the 2009 version. All recently new and modified local roads/intersections have been updated. (The most recent local road modification was done about 18 months ago.) The only other modification to the software that I see is that MS has changed the menu icons from multicolor and eye appealing to very flat, basic two-tone blank and white. This obviously doesn't impact the functionality of the software but it just looks like a step backward.I also have a Tom-Tom which my wife and I use for short trips and to get directions from point A to point B within the state. Local travel is what the Tom-Tom and Garmin units are designed for. But where S&T beats the small units hands down is when planning long distance trips. There are many congested areas of the country I refuse to drive through (I-95 through the CT-NY-NJ area.) With S&T all I have to do is tell it to avoid this area by dragging the mouse over the map and the planned route is instantly modified. S&T...
As seems to be the pattern with new editions of Streets and Trips, there is nothing revolutionary about this upgrade, though it was almost two years in the making. While I find it a useful program, it is still quite limiting in ways I wish would be addressed.I use Streets and Trips almost daily. In addition to maintaining several thousand points, I receive addresses several times a day from people whereby I find their location and give them directions to the closest point in my database. And, like most people, I use Streets and Trips to plan my road trips. What has forced me to upgrade from 2007 is the new map data so I can match newer addresses. Here is a summary of different features, the good and the bad.Searches: The address search still needs improvement. When an address does not match anything in their database, the suggested alternatives are often far off. For example, I typed in an address and town containing "Penn Rod Rd." The search...
While I have been a big fan of Streets and Trips over the past decade, Microsoft failed 64 bit users with a flawed DVD. The online free trial download followed by an activation works.**************The benefits to using software versus ad-supported online maps are many. In particular, the user has more control over how the information is displayed. Moreover, maps can be saved and annotated. Yet, with Google Maps getting better by the day, Microsoft has really let its user base down.Frequent users of Google Maps notice that it provides driving, public transportation, walking and bicycling directions. Streets and Trips 2013 *still* only has driving directions. What Microsoft needs to do is offer more sophisticated real-time data inputs such as those from public transit and traffic congestion sources. It surprises me that Microsoft has not made a bigger investment in this software. The product is not much different from the previous six versions. It is...

Features:

Let me start off by saying I love this case. The only flaw is of course that it is a phone case that ruins its use as a telephone. Without tearing down the case itself (and ruining the other features), as others here have suggested, the voice quality as others hear you when making a call is like a kidnapper's phone call in a movie. You sound fuzzy, far away and modulated.I got a refund from Mophie, it was the only option they gave me. I tried contacting customer service a number of times about updates to the design to resolve the fatal flaw, but they did not give me an answer. I got the run around and it was as though I was emailing an auto-reply. The response I received may have been avoiding making a statement about a flawed product, but the real mistake is that I LOVE THIS CASE- AND I WILL NOT BUY ONE AGAIN, simply because this was mishandled so badly.I really, honestly wish this phone case worked as a -phone- case and not just an amazing, rugged,...
Full disclosure: I purchased this product direct from Mophie. As a battery pack, it's great. As a phone case it has serious problems. As a Mophie battery pack and iPhone case, frankly, I expected better.Firstly, and most damningly, the case interferes with phone communication. I don't know what they did, but they seem to have covered over the microphone. Every telephone conversation since I put the case on the phone has involved the person on the other end complaining that they couldn't hear me. Since finding this out, I'm reducing my rating to two stars.Secondly, it takes a couple of minutes just to get the case onto the phone. I don't mind rubber cases, but getting this on is ridiculously finicky and time-consuming - and that's once you figure out how to get the inner cover apart (it comes pre-assembled and there are no instructions as to how to open it). Sure, you don't have to put it on more than once, but surely it shouldn't need to be this difficult -...
Update 1/25/2013This case is still working perfectly. I haven't noticed any change in battery life, as after a full day's useI usually still have at least two lights showing. The case does a magnificent job protecting the iPhone, and the SGP glas.t has been the best screen protector I've ever used. It's still in great shape with not scratches or bubbles showing. The case has more than enough juice for the iPhone battery, and it hasn't run out for the iPhone battery to kick in EVEN ONCE. I'm looking forward to seeing what Mophie develops for the iPhone 5 as far as battery cases, because this one is definitely top of the line.Update 7/14/2012So far so good. The case is rugged and holds up EXTREMELY well. As far as thickness, I like something to hold on to when I use my iPhone, and this adds a nice grippable case that is easy to use. All of the external buttons on the case work perfectly. I've had no sound issues or camera issues with the case on the...

Mophie Juice Pack Plus External Battery Case for iPhone 5 - Black
It's solid - built really well. Not at all cheapy. handles well. others mind the headphone extension, but I do not know why - it's just fine (free - comes with this). Works like it is supposed to - and there is no need to remove it.I am not a big sync person - but if I were, this could be a challenge. They say to use wireless sync, so that is an option. Since your iphone will be in this case - it cannot be synced by plugging it into the computer without taking it out. Big deal.the phone feels better with this case - and I love the black, slick design. Also has a rubber seal around it so the face of the phone cannot be touched if dropped or laying flat face down. I use a plastic shield in addition anyway.you can charge both the phone and Mophie together without removing the phone.very simple - useful. done.
I purchased this product for my new iPhone 5s from Best Buy to take advantage of their low price guarantee (Thanks Amazon for helping me bargain!). It was advertised that it was precharged (partially) right out of the box, good thing too, I only had 7% left for the ride home. Opened the box, slapped it on, got me home and an additional 23% in a 20min car ride home. When I got home, plugged the cell/case into the wall and let it fully charge. To my surprise, I received the "This accessory may not be supported." error message, but my cell was at 100% now. Disappointed, wanted to return it. But wait, it still worked. Searched online if anyone else had this error, couldn't find it. Okay, I have my box and receipt and 14 days to play with it, let's just see how it goes.Next day, normal usage, no big deal. Mophie recommends to drain cell to 20% then flip the switch to use the case battery. But, I wanted to see if I'd get that message again. Flipped switch, for...
This is my fourth battery case and out of all the ones i have purchased this the best one yet. Comfortable and yet powerful for my long days of work and if your looking for a case this is the one don't go for a cheaper one it's not worth it.

The Nest Learning Thermostat learns what temperatures you like, turns itself down when you're away and can be controlled from your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
As a certified licensed HVAC contractor for 32 years and Certified Nest Reseller in Scottsdale Arizona I have personally re-installed and troubleshot over 50 of the Nest thermostats. We like the Nest and it's concept though we have been experiencing multiple problems with regards to error messages, units operating erratic, systems switching from ac to heat, compressors cycling into internal overload, burnt up control boards and relays to name a few. I do admit it's great for business, though once we show up for service, we now own the call and are responsible for making the system work. The newest problem was this last week on a commercial building with 4 new AC units on the roof and 4 new Nests. We have logged in 6 additional non chargeable hours to troubleshoot and replacements in a 1hr job to change out all 4.To keep it short, these are the facts;*Installed 4 nests, all AC units are same brand, 2 Nests are functioning*Nest #1, installed, ran for 1 day went...
I originally purchased the 1st generation of this thermostat. The only thing I didn't like about the 1st gen thermostat was how far it protruded from the wall. On my final day for the return policy of the 1st gen, the 2nd gen was advertised to be released soon. So, I didn't hesitate to uninstall the old thermostat to send it back, pre-order and wait on the 2nd gen. The 2nd gen thermostat's profile in my opinion is perfect for the look and style I desire in my home; It makes my home appear a little more modern, but not too much. The install was easy and it looks great just as with the 1st gen. I noticed a $35 drop in my $120 per month power bill w/the first gen. I have a 2200 sq/ft home w/3bdrm and 2bth that's occupied by only myself and my wife. My AC system is a basic singles stage AC and a two stage heater; I hooked up six wires: O,R,B(C),W2,G & Y. I live in FL and the AC runs at 82 during the day and 78 at night. I'm hoping for about the same performance if not better with this...
I received and installed my second-gen Nest thermostat about three weeks ago and was initially very happy with it. Simple to install, beautiful, easy to use, it is certainly all that. Unfortunately, it lacks one characteristic that a thermostat MUST have. It is not robust. It fails under circumstances that a $50 hardware store thermostat would have no problems with, and when it fails it DOES NOT FAIL SAFE - which is a pretty major problem when you're talking about a device that is controlling expensive heat and cooling (and, in a cold climate, keeping your pipes from freezing!)I was pretty surprised to come home today to a sweltering-hot apartment when the outside temperature was in the mid-to-high sixties. It's a brand-new apartment, very well insulated, and initially I simply thought that all the sun streaming through the skylights and windows was responsible for the high temperature. The Nest indicated that it was 86 degrees inside and of course, with a set point...

Super price for a nice screen protector. Fits perfectly, works well. Enough screen savers to serve the family or last a long long time.
The case doesn't protect the phone very well. It isn't very secure. I was worried if the phone fell the case would come off.
This is a durable and fun case. It fits well and is made so you know it will last a long time.

Let me first start of by saying, this is an amazing phone! I bought it as a cheap entry into Windows Phone 8, and I'm completely blown away. I wasn't expecting this. This phone was going to be something I use as a backup, but I'm currently using this as my daily driver, and I love it!Let me also say, that I'm not new to the world of smart phones. I consider myself a techie enthusiast that buys and tries new phones / tech every few months or so. I've been on every phone carrier, and tried every platform except for WP8 (until now). I've also picked up every iPhone released (1st gen to iPhone 5), and I'm HEAVILY invested in Google services. I've had the last 3 generations of Galaxy S devices, tried many of the Verizon Droid line devices (X, Droid, Droid2). My most recent love has been the pureness of the LG Nexus 4. The fact that I'm impressed with this budget device is no small thing.Pros:-Fantastic Battery Life - (Appears to hold its charge while on stand...
ORIGINAL REVIEW:I thought about waiting on the Lumia 925, but after reading how much the Lumina 521 has to offer, I decided that since I tend to change phones about every 2 years, it made more sense to go with the phone that was lighter on my wallet. After finding that my local WalMart had one phone left, I snagged it and haven't regretted my purchase one bit. What I love about the phone:1. WiFi calling (set up instructions below) - calls are clear, but calls don't hand off to cellular network if you step outside of your WiFi range2. Tethering Capable (must add to your plan as a separate service, but no charge)3. MicroSD slot (up to 64GB)4. Camera is touch adjustable5. Adjustable font size6. Ability to have a high contrast screen (for those with poor eyesight or someone who wants a cool looking screen)7. Transfer My Data App makes switching phones super easy - even transfers text messages8. All of the Nokia app...
In terms of price/performance this one is off the charts. It completes nicely with phones costing 3x as much. If you are looking for a high quality low price phone this is it. If this phone has weaknesses, I had to search hard to find them. I will get to the cons in a minute but this is a well thought out well constructed phone.First off, I will say that I use an iPhone 4S as a business phone. I am an IT professional and have used blackberry and droid phones and have touched many different devices so I have quite a bit of experience with what is out there. While I like the iPhone ok, I wanted something different then everyone else and heard great things about the new Windows 8 phones and decided to give them a try. I don't want to spend a bunch on a phone because I swap my phone out every year and have T-mobile's no contract family plan. My old phone gets passed down to my kids. My personal phone was a Sammy. I like the flexibility of the Android phones vs the...

This is not a real lifeproof case these are counterfeit cases. Please do not buy these. I have a letter from Lifeproof stating that the serial numbers inside the case do not match with real serial numbers manufactured by them. What started all this is I ordered this for Christmas for my daughter. I tested the product as lifeproof recommends since I have purchased real lifeproof cases from lifeproof in the past. When I did the water test with no phone, thank goodness, the camera lens cover popped out and water flooded into the case. I then contacted the company to get an exchange which they didnt want to do so I then went to Lifeproof to get the item covered by my warranty only to find out the serial numbers inside the case are fakes. Lifeproof then sent me a letter documenting this and I contacted Amazon to let them know. To this day I still have not gotten my refund however I have filed an A-Z file with Amazon. If it would let me post the letter I would. I may try to copy...
Case is fake, My co worker has an original Life proof case, we compared them and they are not the same.
Lifeproof makes an awesome phone case. I have dropped it over 6 feet and had my phone work fine with no scratches or cracks. it is completely waterproof i take underwater videos. make sure the yellow seal on the inside is in the right spot and it will be the best phone case you can buy
