I am so sorry I ever bought this software.I helped my wife set up this POS software for her retail store. We wanted barcoded inventory control and good integration with QuickBooks Pro (financial).Despite the fact that we have a graduate degree in computer science, and experience with accounting, we spent many long nights fixing problems and bugs in this software. Our expectations were pretty low based on reviews we had read--but this software has been much worse.To add insult to injury, you're constantly given pop-up ads trying to sell you additional Intuit features. Also, important features are disabled in the Basic software and you need to upgrade to Pro to do things like editing the layout of price tags. (Which is required since they ship Basic with broken but encrypted tag layouts.)If the software crashes on you (and I personally guarantee it will), and you call support, they will tell you you need to buy a support contract. When... Do NOT order this product unless you have intuit credit card processing. if you have ANY other merchant account, it will not integrate with the software. I wish someone had told me this because I wasted a lot of time, money, and shipping fees, and Intuit was NOT helpful or sympathetic. You will either have to go thru the hassle of changing your merchant account to intuit, or get other software and hardware - and if intuit denies you, you are screwed. I'm super angry that this wasnt made public in their ads. We upgraded to QuickBooks POS Pro 10.0 and are we ever sorry. Worst upgraded to any application ever. DO NOT PURCHASE>
