I hope you find it helpful :)First of all, my review if from an enthusiast point of view and might be a little bit technical but my intention is to give you all guidelines before you buy. To know what to expect when you're expecting (the appradio of course ;)). Just finished installing this unit today. It's definitely off to a good start. The unit doesn't have the ability to stream A2DP and no aux-input so if you don't have an Android or iOS device, be warned. For people who owned the original Pioneer AppRadio, here are the differences in the 2:- Much faster bootup (3-6 seconds)- Better iPod compatibility (Nano, Classic)- Auto-dimmer when headlights are on- Screen On/Off button- Dedicated Pandora button- Better iOS/iPod line-out audio quality- Significantly improved cable quality (longer and much less flimsy)- Smaller more streamlined GPS receiver- Significantly better bluetooth audio quality and interface for calls- Better interface for radio |

At first glance this Unit is very impressive. 7" touch screen looks great. I have a 2006 Scion Xb and a Samsung Galaxy SII. This is my first unit I've installed and the instructions were easy to understand and the installation went smooth. I used Crutchfield to find out what i needed for the install and bought it from Amazon and saved 70$. I then used a Micro USB car adapter to power the Menotek adapter. God news! It worked. Bad News... it doesn't charge when plugged in. I'm not taking a star off for this because this was just a work around to try and save money. I'll wait for the price to lower on the CD-AH200C and buy that later.Once I got the Bluetooth setup and the app installed I was able to navigate the menu easily. Pandora... |
