Wool felt is water repellent, insulating and anti-static. While the material offers aesthetically strength it is also soft to the touch. At the bottom you will find the leather pad made of 100% vegetable tanned leather which makes it comfortable to carry. The sleeve is designed to have a front pocket to fit some stuff like sheets, USB-Stick or a pen. This pocket also covers the snaps to be not in contact with your laptop.
