Complete RAW Workflow Whether viewing, rating, sorting, editing, or exporting images, AfterShot Pro provides workflow options not found anywhere else. Other applications make you import a file before you can even view it, but there’s no need with AfterShot Pro. Whether a photo is in an existing catalog, in another folder on your system, or still on a memory card, AfterShot Pro lets you work with it. Flexible Photo Management Most photo-workflow programs only allow you to access a single catalog or database at a time, limiting the total number of images you can manage and edit in any one session. AfterShot Pro lets you use one catalog, many catalogs, or no asset management at all. With no restrictions or pre-defined process to follow, you can work whatever way suits you best. Advanced, Non-Destructive Editing Inspired by the renowned selective-editing features that made Bibble Labs a force in the industry, AfterShot Pro lets you non-destructively apply any adjustment or correction to all or a portion of a photo. And a fully stocked imageediting toolset allows you to do your work in AfterShot Pro without switching over to a deeper editing tool. Breakthrough Performance AfterShot Pro is nimble enough to run on netbooks, but powerful enough to get the most out of 16-core workstations. It’s fully multithreaded and optimized for multi-core and multi-CPU computers, so you’ll notice faster output, conversion, on-screen performance, and image browsing. So far nothing to complain, bought as a laptop alternative to my normally used Photoshop/LightRoom/PhaseOne/NIK packages run on desctop. Runs on 64-bit Win7 w/o a hitch. Fast, very intuitive user interface. No program is perfect, there will be always someone complaining on the web. Realistically, for over 50% this will be more than enough to get started w/o a steep learning curve. You can also get free or paid (Topaz Lab, NIK) plugins that essentially bring the PS functionality w/o getting involved with Adobe CC long term issues.Donload the demo and give it a try. I've tried dozens of photoeditors and based on the combination of features, ease of use, low demand for computer resources/speed and price this one sits very close to the top. |

Great program runs great on Linux. The bad news is it looks like Corel has abandoned the program and the community. They fired the original developers. There has never been any official announcement and the AfterShot Pro forums are totally ignored. Just go on them and read.Buy it if you need a great program but just know it might just stay exactly how it is for years to come. |

In true, I haven't used this product very much YET; but I have seen enough to know that it is on a par with Adobe Lightroom, at a much lower price. |
