At one point the insurance company that insures my cell phone told me that I was not allowed to make another claim for a year. Since smartphones came out onto the market I have been reluctant to get one due to the abuse that I put my cell phone through. Well I finally broke down and got an Iphone. I immediately bought an Otter Box, the big bulky rubbery one. After a week I was very disappointed, my phone still got covered with gunk. Then a friend told me about LifeProof. After researching on the internet I reluctantly dropped the $79.99 on one. What a great purchase that was!!! I have had the case for 5 months now. I just recently took my phone out of the case and it looked like I just pulled it out of the box, brand new and shiny.The main reason I am writing this review and giving it 5 stars is because of a warranty... I love, love, love this case! I first saw it when my sister and I went to a spa weekend. One of her friends has one and she was taking pictures of everyone in the pool. So I decide to get one for my vacation with my children, I was able to take underwater pics of them, pics of them jumping into the pool from the pool and them diving off the diving board. When I was finished my phone was completely dry! Other guest were asking me if I had a waterproof case and that the case was nice. After noticing bubbles in the screen, I called the phone number inside the packaging, and after comparing serial numbers, I was told by a Lifeproof represenative that this case is a counterfeit.
