Since I've had this extended battery, it's no longer necessary to charge my phone every single day. It really does extend the power quite a bit. When my family and I got up on Christmas morning, I used my phone to play Christmas carols while we opened our presents, and kept my phone on Pandora the entire day until about 2:30 the next morning. It was just starting to beep that the battery was drained when I was going to bed. Be aware that the battery does require the extended cover (included in the package) because it's so thick, the old cover would never fit. I measure the thickness from front of phone to back of the extended cover to be approximately 5/8" thick. I ordered the WIRELESS CENTRAL Brand Silicone BLACK Skin Sleeve Rubber Soft Cover Case for SAMSUNG i110 ILLUSION (VERIZON) [WCJ880] for it, which adds to the thickness to make it approximately 3/4" thick, but even with the added thickness, I'd do it again. It is tons better than the standard battery than comes with the phone! I have a Samsung Galaxy Proclaim and it works with the battery!! I never knew that there were such big batteries for cell phones!? I thought that they were all thin batteries. The Verizon Samsung Illusion and The Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy Proclaim are pretty much the very same phone except for branding, and most likely software!!! :) |

The battery and cover installed easily and work great almost doubling the phones use time between charges. They do however add considerable bulk to the back of the phone. As a result I have been unable to find any kind of cover (hard or soft) that will fit the phone, forcing me to use the phone 'naked', which I'm not happy about. It also no longer fits in my car's phone mount. Not a problem of the battery per-say but definitly a side effect worth noting. |
