First, this is for active people such as anyone in a public safety position, hunters etc. and so on. IT IS BULKY! Ok that being said, there is an issue with the quality of the screen protector. Just take it off like I did, real simple. I used a knife and just followed the edge around until it came off very easily. Second, sound quality. YOU MUST TAKE OUT THE TWO SPONGE PROTECTORS AT THE BOTTOM OR YOU AND YOUR CALLER WILL GET SERIOUS FEEDBACK DURING THE CALL. I went ahead and took out the receiver sponge as well. Third thing is, it is a VERY rugged case but don't get crazy. I probably could use this thing as a hockey puck, although I wouldn't want to test that theory. It is excellent protection just use your best judgement. I have waited for somebody to figure out that we need durability with a charge. This case is definitely where Otterbox meets Mophie. Good job. So I waited a couple of months after receiving this to write a review. I have owned numerous JuicePak-style external battery style phone cases. They are all mediocre to poor. They provide minimal protection. The batteries last a mere 3-4 months and they loose their capacity after just a few charges. This beast is different.Somewhere in the dark reaches of the wilderness, JuicePak and the Otter Box mated and out crawled a beast of a phone case that delivers! First, the three piece plastic and silicone case design is no joke. It takes a beating!. This sucker has fallen down several flights of stairs, been kicked across the highway, and thown in anger when the Ravens beat the Broncos (next year Peyton!) It barely shows any scratches. It still works! The phones looks as good as new.Next, the battery. If the fact that I charge the phone every third day doesn't impress you, stop reading here and invest in a car battery with a belt clip. The importnat tip I will share... Does exactly what it claims. Really worth the money to protect the phone. AND BEST OF ALL the battery keeps me going all day. I am a heavy iPhone user so the battery has been a lifesaver.
