After some brief searching I discovered the Hue studio. She opened up on Christmas morning and in a short while had made her first stop action video unassisted! Camera is amazingingly sharp and the flexible neck gives her the ability to snap shots from any angle. Adding sounds and voice is done easily with the software! Our ten year old grandson has been using a Lego stop action kit for about two years. From what I understood he was becoming unhappy with the quality and positioning capabilities of the camera he was using. The software may have also been a bit clumsy. We decided on the Hue Animation Studio kit (with camera) after surveying many stop-action offerings. Some were quite advanced with features far beyond making stop-action videos, while others appeared to be targeted at a younger child. Few, if any, included a high quality camera. We noticed that the Hue Animation camera alone received excellent reviews. We decided try the whole kit for only $20 more than the camera alone.Our grandson absolutely loves this kit. The images from the camera a great and it is easy to put into many stable positions. He also likes the software much better than what he had been using before. The build quality of the camera appears to be very good and it should be durable. I think we hit a home run for... We bought this for my daughter for her birthday and she absolutely loves it! It is easy to use and she uses multiple types of media to create music videos. Highly recommend.
