Archgon's Premium External Blu-Ray Writer Super Multi Drive clads in a beautiful aluminum casing, using a high performance Panasonic UJ-260 drive inside which supports the latest BD-XL burning technology,and the playing of 3D content.
Please note that Apple does not support Blu-Ray, and the Blu-Ray drive does not come with software, you need to purchase/download additional 3rd party Blu-Ray software in order to play or burn blu-ray disk with this unit.
For CD &DVD, the unit is plug & play, you can use Apple's iTune and iDVD, as well as other software to read, play, and burn CD &DVD.
The external drive is compatible with both Mac &PC.

Highly recommended. Its works great on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro (i7 quad core running OS X 10.8).
