BearExtender was originally designed to help students with Apple computers at the University of California, Berkeley, connect to the campus wide Wi-Fi network called "AirBears". BearExtender Turbo is Made for Mac. It is compatible with Mac notebook and desktop computers running Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and the latest OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
Note: 802.1X (WPA-Enterprise) security not currently supported.
Plugs into USB
BearExtender Turbo features USB 3.0 SuperSpeed connectivity. It can also be plugged into a USB 2.0 port. It is not compatible with USB 1.0 or USB 1.1. BearExtender Turbo is a great way to add the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi to any Mac, even if the internal AirPort card is broken or not installed.
Ready for Anything
BearExtender Turbo works with all Wi-Fi standards including 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11ac. This means you can use BearExtender Turbo with any Wi-Fi network. For maximum speeds, BearExtender Turbo must connect to an 802.11ac enabled network or 802.11ac enabled router such as the 2013 AirPort Extreme or 2013 Time Capsule.
