I recently purchased this charger and have tried it 3 times now with the below results. The device itself comes with a USB wire that you must use with your own charger. It comes with an adapter for the older iphone/ipad. I have the iphone 5 (1440) and ipad mini (4490 mah) and Kindle keyboard (1750 mah) and have used them in my testing using their own usb adapters.
