At $50 or so, this is certainly not the least expensive hard shell you can buy for your MacBook Pro, but I can say it's the best I've used, and I've had a few different hard shells. The tabs which hold it affixed to the laptop are small and unobtrusive, yet reliable and sturdy. They hold fast and tight to the laptop and make installation and removal a hassle-free process. To make them even more unobtrusive, you can attach the upper shell upside-down (there is a wider tab at the top of the upper shell, which the included instructions point out is intended to hold to the top of your MacBook Pro's lid, above the built-in camera, but it works just as well if it is at the bottom of the lid, and results in a more aesthetic appearance, especially considering there are four small tabs also- two on each side).The matte finish of the shell, combined with the perforation, make for an excellent grip when lifting the laptop and carrying it around- certainly better than other shells,... |
