Description
While at first glance, it may be in your best interest to shop around. Know that when you purchase RAM from Komputerbay, you're getting Grade-A brand name computer memory. Cheap computer memory, while possibly being compatible, can cause system crashes, error codes in your computer, and even damage to your motherboard! Other sellers may offer you similar looking products for a few cents or a dollar less, but here's the scoop on why: they sell cheap-grade memory and they don't test the modules before shipping! This ends up costing you time and money. Trust when you buy from Komputerbay, you are getting top of the line product from a top of the line company.

We test every module before it leaves the building, and back all of our purchases up with a LIFETIME WARRANTY!

The modules work as expected (even if they do run a little hotter than usual) on my 2006 Mac Pro 1,1. However, one (or potentially two) of the modules were not playing along nicely with my system, resulting on random kernel panics. I was only running the 8GB provided by the kit, with optimal placement on the riser boards, so you can rule out incompatibility with other modules. I am now waiting on a replacement of the faulty modules (which I had to send back and pay for postage). So yes, it is cheap, but you might want to look elsewhere if you are in a hurry to use them.Brand of the modules I received was Qimonda.
I got what I ordered, it arrived quickly and was well packaged.I don't anticipate needing old memory again but if I do, I'd use this company again.Time will tell if the memory is of good quality but it is working well now.
Our small office server had been slow recently and most helps pages pointed toward lack of ram memory.I searced and found this 16 gig pack at a great price and good reviews and I pulled the trigger.Hit the bullseye!
