I've used Photoshop, Dreamweaver and InDesign from CS5 so I can only comment on those. Photoshop seems to have no bugs so far but it's a LOT slower than CS3 and NO, it's NOT my computer. InDesign is the only one that seems fine so far. Dreamweaver, on the other hand, is so UNBELIEVABLY RIDDLED with bugs it's despicable that Adobe released this version. This is PERFECT example of why so many people get Adobe software ILLEGALY... the crap they produce then charge an arm and a leg for is NOT WORTH IT. And for all you apologists who say that's stealing, fine, but what do you call it when you pay over $2000 for a software package and one of the main pieces of software is barely usable because of the bugs in it? To me that's Adobe STEALING from consumers. I'm going back to CS3 thank you very much. |

Do yourself a favor, if you own an older version of CS and are thinking of upgrading to CS 5, beware that this version is extremely buggy and not ready for prime time. Adobe's tech support is outsourced to India and is some of the worst tech support/customer service in the biz. ADOBE IF YOU ARE LISTENING YOU WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER DIME FROM ME! There is NO REASON to buy CS 5, get yourself an older version of CS 3, it works perfectly!!!!!!!! |

After many years of using Final Cut Studio, I was tempted to buy the CS5 Production Suite. My first project on this system was nearly 2 hours long with 2 video tracks and 5 audio. The video was produced in Premier and sits quite nicely in Premier but will not encode successfully, through Encore, into a DVD, DVD folder or XML. Adobe support is in India - one week later we still have not managed to encode nor Adobe Indians managed to help. They refused to allow me to go to Level 2 support saying it is not their software but my files which are causing the problem, after proving to them that was not the case - they will still not escalate the level of support. Their current reason for its failure is that the video is 'too complicated'!!I have now recreated the video in Final Cut Studio HD using the same files and everything worked like a dream. Enough said! |
