Does anybody *need* to spend $400 on a wireless speaker? Probably not. Is this speaker worth the price? For me the answer is yes and I would like to tell you why.The speaker sounds great without being overly large. Right now it's sitting comfortably in a seven inch space between the top of a bookcase and the ceiling. Even in that confined space the two rear-facing bass ports are currently doing the Scorpions justice. (At this instant, Rock You Like A Hurricane.) There's also plenty of power and I'll move it out to the deck for our next barbeque.Setup was a snap. For me it was under 10 minutes from opening the box to music streaming from my phone. (Plug the speaker in and turn it on. Wait a minute. Put you iDevice in the dock. You get prompted to load a free app. Load the free app. That steps you through... |

There are at least a half-dozen reasons why you want this unit:1 Connects your Apple iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) and iTunes2 You can connect using an AirPlay compatible computer3 You can connect any device with an audio out connector using the 3.5mm jack on the Logitech (no cable included)4 Room filling audio5 Good sound6 Dead simple set-upAs it is with many people these days, my computers and my portable devices have become audio entertainment centers. I have the Logitech Z305 speakers on my primary computer, a Lenovo laptop, but while they produce excellent sound, they aren't very loud. Logitech provided me UE Air Speaker to review and I am glad to have the opportunity to work with because the Air Speaker fills a need.The Logitech UE Air Speaker, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of filling a 400 - 500 square foot area (living and dining areas and kitchen) with clean, distortion-free audio.
