Let me start off by saying I love this case. The only flaw is of course that it is a phone case that ruins its use as a telephone. Without tearing down the case itself (and ruining the other features), as others here have suggested, the voice quality as others hear you when making a call is like a kidnapper's phone call in a movie. You sound fuzzy, far away and modulated.I got a refund from Mophie, it was the only option they gave me. I tried contacting customer service a number of times about updates to the design to resolve the fatal flaw, but they did not give me an answer. I got the run around and it was as though I was emailing an auto-reply. The response I received may have been avoiding making a statement about a flawed product, but the real mistake is that I LOVE THIS CASE- AND I WILL NOT BUY ONE AGAIN, simply because this was mishandled so badly.I really, honestly wish this phone case worked as a -phone- case and not just an amazing, rugged,...
Full disclosure: I purchased this product direct from Mophie. As a battery pack, it's great. As a phone case it has serious problems. As a Mophie battery pack and iPhone case, frankly, I expected better.Firstly, and most damningly, the case interferes with phone communication. I don't know what they did, but they seem to have covered over the microphone. Every telephone conversation since I put the case on the phone has involved the person on the other end complaining that they couldn't hear me. Since finding this out, I'm reducing my rating to two stars.Secondly, it takes a couple of minutes just to get the case onto the phone. I don't mind rubber cases, but getting this on is ridiculously finicky and time-consuming - and that's once you figure out how to get the inner cover apart (it comes pre-assembled and there are no instructions as to how to open it). Sure, you don't have to put it on more than once, but surely it shouldn't need to be this difficult -...
Update 1/25/2013This case is still working perfectly. I haven't noticed any change in battery life, as after a full day's useI usually still have at least two lights showing. The case does a magnificent job protecting the iPhone, and the SGP glas.t has been the best screen protector I've ever used. It's still in great shape with not scratches or bubbles showing. The case has more than enough juice for the iPhone battery, and it hasn't run out for the iPhone battery to kick in EVEN ONCE. I'm looking forward to seeing what Mophie develops for the iPhone 5 as far as battery cases, because this one is definitely top of the line.Update 7/14/2012So far so good. The case is rugged and holds up EXTREMELY well. As far as thickness, I like something to hold on to when I use my iPhone, and this adds a nice grippable case that is easy to use. All of the external buttons on the case work perfectly. I've had no sound issues or camera issues with the case on the...
