About the Limeade Blast L180X
The Limeade Blast 18000mah External Battery pack is the largest capacity portable battery of it's kind available on the market. Until now, super high capacity battery packs were too bulky and heavy to be of much use. The Limeade Blast L180X packs a ton of power in a sleek and compact form and can easily slip into a backpack, purse, or pocket without weighing you down. Other external batteries on the market use standard 1A inputs. Limeade Blast features a 2A input meaning the L180X can be charged in as little as 11 hours. Because the Limeade Blast charges devices anywhere, anytime and won't be drained after just a couple uses, it is the perfect portable external battery pack for a variety of situations.

I got one of these (the 18,000 mAh version) through a Kickstarter campaign (just ended 5/31/13) and was kind of surprised to see it on Amazon so quickly. So far, I really like this. I've charged my Kindle Paperwhite 3G, 6" High Resolution Display with Built-in Light, Free 3G + Wi-Fi - Includes Special Offers, my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7-Inch, Wi-Fi), and my Samsung Galaxy S III/S3 GT-I9300 Factory Unlocked Phone - International Version (Pebble Blue) all on the same initial charge. The phone and Kindle still had about 1/2 charge left when I started, but...
I figure I'd list some pros and cons beyond what is apparent from the features and marketing.Pros --The construction feels very sturdy and solid and the rubber feels good in your hands.-It's easy to keep clean.-It looks and feels and (so far) works like a quality product and something you would want to spend ~$100 on.-Tech support told me that the most recent iPad's charger (5.2V-2.4A) would work to charge this battery safely. (Although I am not sure if it would work in reverse (i.e. if you'd be able to charge the most recent iPad with it) - have yet to test either of these things out).Cons --Heavy (feels like it's just under 3 pounds)-Took longer to charge than advertised (5V-1A (i.e. your typical phone charger)) at around 15 hours from when I got it to full capacity (not even sure if it was empty when I got it). I haven't tried a faster charging method, yet, though, as it will allow for up to 5V-2A.-LED lights are hard to...
Received my 18,000 Limeade Blast just after it became available AND I was a last day supporter. Charged it up and it works flawlessly. I have a HyperJuice Plug 10,400 which has been great but can only be used to plug in. I often use a solar panel to charge with and a tremendous amount of energy is lost in the conversion. A few other things, the limeade has the perfect surface for gripping as well as fitting in your hand, feels like it belongs there when you have to handle it. It isn't going to slip out. Another benefit which completely surprised me by it's functionality and usefulness is the LED flashlight built into it, it's made finding things in my black computer bag at night a breeze. The size vs. capacity is outrageous, how they packed so much power in the size this is makes me really happy. With all the accessories we carry around these days in our mobile offices every bit of room in our bags counts. My big thanks goes out to team Limeade, appreciate you going for it when you...
